My Love Bird Page
I have attempted to take on the task of raising birds. In the past I have raised canaries. I bought a couple of female canaries and put two of my six males in with them and we have eggs in two nests. I have two pair of lovebirds that have each given me a clutch of babies and already have new babies in a nest. I hand feed and socialize these babies and you can see how VERY tame they are!! I have three pairs of parrotlets, one pair of cockatiels and one pair of blue masked lovebirds. Many of my birds are young but I hope by next year to be in full swing. I never liked lovebirds in the past because any I had encountered were mean, nippy and unapproachable. The difference in a hand fed, socialized bird and one that isn't, is amazing. These little guys are priceless.
